Organization in the task of promoting anarchism, if it is genuinely of value, must be understood as a service or bundle of services offered to willing customers -- those organized. As such, the customers must ultimately be the ones in control.

The role of the organizer, the entrepreneur really, is to offer initiative and creativity in an environment of fully open competition so that the wisdom of crowds has the best opportunity to manifest itself. As in the market generally, the entrepreneur assumes the risk of offering whatever they offer and in return is supported or not supported by their customers according to whether or not the service(s) offered actually address the real needs and desires of those customers, as determined by said customers.

A NUCLEUS, NOT A HEADQUARTERS

As I mentioned previously, one of the things I would like to see put together is a very simple web site, one suitable for promotion to the general public, about what market anarchism is and why they should get involved in promoting it. This web site could be promoted offline via techniques like simple canvasing operations.

As I envision it, the site would be structured in a step-by-step fashion rather than being randomly browsable. Canvasers would be generating "leads" by refering people to the web site and the web site would attempt to "close the sale", metaphorically speaking. The first step would be to watch a simple introductory presentation, offered via flash video.

BlackVanguard.net, this web site, is here to facilitate the process of you, friends and supporters of C4SS, becoming a Black Vanguard -- a dedicated but largely acephalous revolutionary elite that takes the initiative to work together on rapidly and zealously building a revolutionary libertarian class consciousness.

In other words, it's time to get serious about promoting anarchism generally and market anarchism specifically. We don't have to become an authoritarian cult to do this. C4SS can assist, serving as an initial nucleus in entrepreneurial fashion -- but the network we become is the network we decide to become, each of us individually in terms of our decisions about what we want to work on.

I'm going to offer some suggested projects -- but it's up to you to decide if you want to work on them and how much of your own creativity and effort you want to put into it. Here's a link to our project planning forums.
